An Amazing Promise From God, By Melodie Michelle

An Amazing Promise From God

 By Melodie Michelle
♥ Friends ♥ give your day to Jesus ♥
"No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you.
Be strong (confident) and of good courage." (Amplified)

''NO MAN SHALL BE ABLE TO STAND AGAINST YOU ALL THE DAYS OF YOUR LIFE, AS I WAS WITH MOSES, SO WILL I BE WITH YOU, I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU, AND I WILL NEVER FORSAKE YOU, ONLY BE STRONG AND BE COURAGEOUS.'' JOSHUA 1:5-6 (KJV)

What an amazing promise from God! Imagine how Joshua musty have felt when God told him he was to immediately take Moses' place. He was to lead the IsraeliAtes into the Promised Land. Moses was a fabulous leader - who would want to even try to fill his shoes? When God, however, is asking you to do something, He will equip you with whatever it is you need to accomplish it - so if He is leading you to tell someone about Jesus, or get up and give your testimony ~ DO IT ~ be obedient and do it - whatever it may be just do it. Remember the promise above!

You can do anything when you put Him above everything else - especially your addiction. If your addiction is choosing the wrong mate, cutting, drugs, alcohol, or some of each then with Jesus and your support group, you can truly be free. When you finally get it into your head and heart – that getting high or drunk or cutting or choosing the wrong partner is NO LONGER AN OPTION, your recovery can truly begin.

God told Joshua that he would succeed and NOT because of anything he did in the natural BUT ONLY because He was with him. Joshua was to just be obedient to what God had told him. He was to be obedient to GOD'S WORD. God also told Joshua the same thing would hold true to him if he believed (He would succeed). God kept encouraging Joshua to be strong and confident, to take courage and not be afraid - why? Because He would be with him! In other words, He told him to believe. He also expected obedience.

Put your faith and trust in God - not in any human (spouse, boy/girl friend, children, parent, etc...) but in GOD alone. He will give you the strength and courage to stand and accomplish whatever He asks you to do!

Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Friends, you can do it --- just let go and let God... m m ;)
