The Great Advocate, By Tonya F.

The Great Advocate

By Tonya F.

Jesus is the Great Advocate; He gave me a new life, for the renewal of my mind and the forgiveness of my iniquities (Romans 8:2). Quoting from a great minister of God, Prophet T.B Joshua,"One needs to forgive because he/she needs to be forgiven." Being declared righteous, as we are, shows that we have received the forgiveness of our sins."If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 (KJV).

Forgiveness is often a debated topic, especially for people who are "Word deficient," that is, those who do not know what the Word of God really says about this topic. It's great to look at this from both perspectives, as it is difficult to forgive someone who has damaged your sense of humor. Basically, this topic has destroyed families, kingdoms, and relationships when handled wrongly.

I have learned so much by reading my Bible; for instance, in the story of Joseph, he showed compassion on his brothers, despite the fact that they sold him out of jealousy. It is hard to forgive, but all you have to do is meditate on how God gave you a purpose to live out, as He promised to keep you safe from the snare of the fowler and forces of darkness. Please don't give your friends and family a hard time, just because they haven't fulfilled your expectations, but rather tell them how much you love them. If you learn to forgive in small issues I'm sure when the giant is standing in front of you, you will be able to blow him down and all will be well with you.

I pray that God gives us understanding and may His Spirit teach us to forgive those who do us harm. Be blessed, girls.
