What Would Jesus Do?
By Liz M.
"No is my final answer young lady," Mom said, slamming down the lid to the fryer.
"You are totally unfair!" I yelled at her, then stormed down to my room and slammed the door.
I ran and jumped onto my bed and buried my face in my arms.
"Why couldn't I have been more like Jesus then?" I asked myself. "I bet he never talked to Mary like that when he was on earth.
Do you ever find yourself thinking along those lines? I know I have,
whether it's with your parents, siblings or everyday life. But we still
don't ask it enough. It's not that we can ever be perfect, but we need
to make an effort each morning and think about how you can remember it.
Also, study the Bible to see what Jesus actually did, so you can be
more like him.

Being Thankful 365 Days of the Year
By Liz M.
This devotional is designed to help people be thankful. I learned from
personal experience that when you're thankful it also improves your mood
more than if you think of the negative things which just make you grouchy.
Step 1: Read the Bible verse for today
Step 2: Write all the things you are thankful for
Step 3: Think of a few people you are thankful for and write them down
Step 4: Read about thankful people
Step 5: Write the answer for the questions for the day (you might want to write your thoughts about them in a journal.)
Step 6: Pray and write thanking God for everything He gave you
*To continue this idea, you might want to keep a notebook that fits into your
pocket so you can write your thankfulness down so you won't forget, and
then you can write them all down in one place
Day 1
Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and
song.
(Psalm 95:2)
What are You Thankful for Today?
Who are You Thankful for Today?
Thankful Person for the Day: Fanny Crosby
On March 24, 1820 Fanny Crosby was born to John and Mercy Crosby, and
they were very happy. But that happiness was cut short when six week old
Fanny became very sick. The treatment the doctor gave her eventually
made her blind. To make matters worse when she was only a year old her
father died. Fanny's grandma, Eunice Crosby, came and helped Fanny see'
and learn things so when she was about eight she could recognize the
meadow lark, the mocking bird, the redheaded woodpecker, the robin, the
red-winged blackbird, the song sparrow, the goldfinch, the yellow
wobbler, and the wren, and learned to ride horseback. Also when she was
eight she
wrote a poem which showed that she was content and thankful as she was.
Oh, what a happy soul am I!
Although I cannot see
I am resolved that in the world
Contented I must be.
How many blessings I enjoy
That other people don't;
To weep and sigh because I'm blind
I cannot and I won't!
Fanny grew up to write famous songs such as: "Pass Me Not, Oh Gentle
Savior," Praise Him! Praise Him!" Blest Assurance, Jesus is Mine!" "Safe in
the Arms of Jesus," and "Saved by Grace." But that poem and the desire to
be content and thankful is what started it all.
