Testimony
By Kaitlyn F.
Many of us know the importance of sharing gospel
with believer and unbeliever. But sharing your testimony can be just as
powerful, if not more powerful in some circumstances. When you share your
testimony, you are giving people an actual example(s) of what God has done in
your life. I have found that people know the gospel because it is told so
often, but it is hard for some of them to take a story about what happened
years ago, and believe in it today. When you share your testimony, it brings
the story of the gospel into modern days. God even commanded us to share our
testimony with whoever we meet. Mark 15:9 says,
“And he did not permit him but
said to him, ‘Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done
for you, and how he has had mercy on you.’”
When you share your testimony, you
are telling them that the Lord has mercy on you, and you are showing them the
love that he has for you.
Another thing is that your testimony can actually
help someone else out. We all go through trials in our life, but we each go
through different trials. But what if the trials you have experienced in the
past can actually help someone out that you are talking to. God does place
people in our lives that we can help.
Maybe by sharing our testimony, we may help them understand that they
are not alone in their struggle. But you never know unless you give it a go.
